Also,the other person you Skype needs a webcam as well! Good luck!

If your ibook g3 has a firewire 400 port,buy a isight webcam and plug it in. Needs no software as it is plug n play.
I use a ibook g4 with isight on skype and it works fine!

They need the software to run, all right, but many do work with Macs.
But whether it will work with an older PowerPC-based Mac depends on which model the webcam is. Newer ones require a newer Mac.
Unless you have a newer Mac mini, you're not likely to need a webcam because newer Macs (MacBooks and iMacs) have built-in webcams.
