When I say Mac OSX I'm talking about the OS. If you click the Apple symbol in the top left of you screen....> About this Mac..
It should tell you there. If you don't see it click the text directly underneath where it says Mac OS X.

Ok cool. Well in theory they should be compatible. What have you tried so far other than just starting?
Do you get a hang or crash report?
I havent tried anything because I cant open any Microsoft Office programmes - excel, powerpoint...
