mountain lion sort files by size

Just downloaded Mountain Lion and already stuck.

I NEED to be able to sort my files/folders in the Finder by size - REALLY need.

When I tell it to sort by size, it puts everything in GROUPS of varying sizes and alpha within the groups. This is totally worthless to me as I still don't know which folders are the biggest without manually hunting them down.

Is there any way to get back the SIMPLE sort by size, date, and kind that used to be there?

Remember when you could just click the word at the top of the column and it would sort on that field? It was sooooooo easy.

Now, I can't find anything because its all jumbled up and ALWAYS in alpha order.

Am I missing something here?

Finder > View > Arrange by none. Then click the column header for size in List view.
