FireWire Solo on the Macbook

Mine is the last generation of the Macbook that is no longer in production. I already shipped down this Firewire Solo-a remarkable amp for music recording, before I actually realised that my Macbook does NOT have a firewire port.
Please do you know of any method by which I can get to connect this firewire device to my macbook?
I will really appreciate answers.

Sorry but there are no options to use firewire for that macbook.

On Macbook Pro's you could have used a expresscard slot, but Macbooks do not have that option.

There are no usb-firewire adaptors that would work for you.

Yeah firewire is the reason why I kept my 2006 Macbook instead of upgrading to the 2009~2011 macbook.

It is a bit of a hassel, but if you really need that firewire device you could sell your macbook and buy a used 2008 macbook pro which has a firewire port, and possibly break even in terms of cash.

I am now agressively working on selling this mac for a pro. But I will need a Firewire 800 to Firewire 400 (6-9 pins) adapter/cable isnt it? (cos the firewire device I need to connect only has the 6-6 and 6-4 options)

All macs with FireWire 800 will work with a firewire400 device, once you get a 800to400 cable. Use as single cable, because I heard that adaptor dongles do not always work with audio interfaces.

Crazy stuff:
Because of this FireWire Solo thing, I actually sold my macbook, added some little cash and got a 2010 Pro 🙂
Phewww...now I can continue making me some good music...with some tighter equipment alongside 🙂
