My AirBook is less than a year old with new Apple TVs . But I get an error -6722 when I try to connect to one of my Apple TVs.
I can see the devices, ie living room and bedroom but the -6722 appears after 20 seconds or so.
I didnt upgrade for this feature but it would be nice to use it.
Any ideas?

Does your Apple Tv need a software update? Mine did today when I tried to connect after installing ML...
make absolutely sure that all devices are up to date. Does home sharing works fine?Are you doing the Airplay mirroring?

AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer).

Same thing is happening to me and I have the latest generation MacBook Pro and Apple TV. Both purchased less than i month ago.
I found it! I disabled firewall and the error gone away and the mirror worked.
Now I will try to put the firewall back and configure it.
Complete solved now. I disabled "Block all incoming connections", and left the firewall on with its default configuration, and all works fine now.
I was able to replicate this issue. This happens if you have a check on "Block all incoming connections" It is not necessary for you to disable the firewall just untick the box on Block All incoming connections.
I had the same question my friend.. So, what worked for me is this. I had two separate wireless connections in my house. I just made sure that they were both connected to the strongest/latest out of the two.
And now, it works like a charm...
