What wireless router do you guys have ?

Was your wireless working well before you upgraded ?

Yes, my wireless was working before the upgrade.

    Here is the Weirdest thing.

I was using firefox and iMessage while downloading an app through the app store.

Even though there was no connectivity on either firefox or iMesage even after trying to restart the apps, The application WAS still downloading in the background.

NOW... I thought... maybe my internet will be restored once the app is done downloading??

However After XCode finished downloading both apps continued to lack connectivity.

The only way I was able to restore connectivity was by turning off my airport and turning it back on.

After about 10 min to 30 min, it dropped off again. It's been happening all day.

Finally, This was on our work cisco routers, I'm testing at home tonight to see if my connection also dropps off at home. It could be a WPA2 thing?

I'm going to need to go back to Lion if this is not fixed soon.

    Thanks for your attention,

There is definately a problem there.  Started doing it immediately after installing ML.

Forgot that I'm running identical macbooks side by side and only one does it.

Having the same issue with Mountain Lion update. One weird things I had not noticed before is that when I hover over the WI-FI icon I see contantly : WI-FI Looking for Networks... Loading pages in the new Safari browser also seem to be interrupted with some pages needing reloading to get them to display all elements. I am going to be asking for my money back pretty soon and going back to Lion. I think I need to stop drinking Apple Kool-Aid.

Issue duplicated with my late-10 13" Air.  Desk unit & iPhone stay connected while Air with new Mounatin Lion keeps dropping WiFi connection.  Is there a quick fix?

Same problem here. Post March 11 15" macbook pro. Wifi connection down to 100KB/s, but above 3MB/s when plugged into my wireless router. Happened right after I upgraded to Mountain Lion.

Same problem with me, on both my Pro and Mac Mini.

Quickly turning wifi off and back on fixes the problem for about 45 mins. Certainly doesn't seem like an issue with the router.

    It's **** annoying.

I have updated the firmware in my router and still don't see an improvement. Any acknowledgement from Apple so far?

I'm having the same issue on my iMac (Mid 2007), but mine drops about every 5 minutes or less, yet some times it can stay on for about 30 minutes before dropping again.  I also have a Mac Mini (Mid 2011) that is sitting in the same room right next to my iMac (so I can do all of the upgrades on both machines in the same place) and the Mini can stay connected all day long without any trouble at all!

The wireless router is in the same place it's been for almost 5 years and never had any problems until I upgraded the iMac to ML.  So, both machines are in the same room, the same distance from the wireless router and yet the iMac keeps losing it's connection (not too mention the Mail app isn't working either unless I close and then re-open it to get new mail) yet the Mac Mini that's sitting right here pretty much right next to the iMac can be online all day long!

Something is definitely wrong with the wireless update or something, at least for the older machines.

Do you have you a time capsule for your backups?

I found out that this feature kills wifi transmission in mountain lion

    Hope it helps..

I do not have a Time Capsule, so that doesn't apply to me, yet for some reason I think I figured out at least the problem that I was having - still not sure though.

I had a few older Preference Panes in the System Preferences, one of them being WifiServer (not that - that could've been the culprit) - Yet a few of them were a bit old, so once I cleared those out and also went through my Keychain in Utilities and got rid of all of my very old passwords - The Wi-Fi has only gone down once in about 4+ Hours!  That was the longest it stayed online since upgrading so far.

And of course, right when I start to write this reply, it goes down AGAIN.  So, so much for all that - but I think it's time we all did a little housekeeping for now until Apple does get this FIXED - at least for those of us that have upgraded older machines.

ML will be the last OS X that my iMac will be able to run...
