Upgraded to Mountain Lion, MBP continues to crash!!

I upgraded to Mountain Lion from Lion via the App Store.

Download was smooth and fairly quick.

Closed all apps and began the install but i ended in a continuous loop where my computer kept freezing. left me with the screen saying "your computer restarted because of a problem. press any key or wait a few seconds to restart"

I am able to enter Recovery Mode, I repaired my permissions and repaired my disk multiple times and tried to get in, doesn't work.

I was able to boot into SAFE MODE and apple requests permission to email the below Panic Report to apple.

I also tried resetting my PRAM as some people on MacRumors tried that and it worked.

Can anyone help me find the problem so i can fix the problem and get back to work???

Tried that a few times..

End up in the same spot...

I can enter safe mode and it's fairly stable for the most part but once i shut down or restart i'm back in the same problem loop.

I had the same issue. Tried running disk utility and reinstalling OS X 3 times to no avail since yesterday afternoon. So I ended up having to erase the HD and am currently reinstalling OS X now. The techs on the support line couldn't figure the issue out either and also recommended reformatting the HD.

I'm working in SAFE MODE now and for the most part everything works.... it's once i restart or shut down that the problems happen.

I used CCC to copy my HD to my SSD. would you know what settings i should copy over to my HD in order to my my HD the same as my SSD. I assume copying everything would be bad since i'm having the problems with the SSD...

Any or all of the following third-party system modifications may be contributing to your problem:

Trend Micro Security

Serato driver

LittleSnitch

I suggest you uninstall all of them according to the developers' instructions, reboot, and see whether there's any improvement. If there is, you can experiment with putting them back, on at a time, to identify which one is at fault.

If there's no improvement after making the suggested changes, post again.

Found everything relating to those 3 things and got rid of them. Hit restart and it starts up like normal. no safe mode or anything. many of my apps are now working and happy and great.

you have exactly the same problem as i did....

a couple of users told me this...

TrendMicro AV was on my MBP and when I removed it Mountain Lion worked fine.

Removing the app doesn't fix the problem, go into the folder/Library/StartupItems/iCoreService and remove what's in there.

You need to start up in SAFE MODE. hold SHIFT to start up in safe mode then do the above.

I'm still in Safe Mode, but I don't have StartupItems in my library folder. I moved Trend Micro to the trash and deleted my trash and I'm not having any luck with Mountain Lion still.

I removed little snitch yesterday thinking it was the culprit.. TrendMicro is on mine too, so I took your lead. Started up in Safe mode and removed the contents of folder /Library/StartupItems/iCoreService. Shut down. Reset PRAM. And it booted right up.
