I've signed up to the free update for new mac books and received a password via email but no link to download the file. Can anyone point me to that link please?

Does the email perhaps say to open the Mac App Store application on your computer?
Open the App Store, sign in with your Apple ID, click on the Redeem link under Quick Links. Follow the instructions.
Thanks for your answer. I tried that and was told that the code is not recognised as a valid code. Tried to leave out the dashes too - no luck. There must be a separate link. Any other ideas?
No, the email with the code said that I'd get a separate email with the link. Haven't received it though. Asked for it to be resent and just got another pass code through. Asked for it again and didn't get an answer.
