Our Apple TVs continue to lose connection ever since installing Mountain Lion on the host computer. The only thing that fixes them is to quit and relaunch iTunes, which only works unti the ATV goes to sleep. If a movie is paused for more than a few minutes and the ATV goes to sleep, pressing play again on the remote is greeted with "There are no movies on this computer" or "Turn on Home Sharing."

If we stop a video on one ATV and attempt to resume it in another room, the error begins again. The other ATV can't connect until iTunes is relaunched.

My guess is that it has something to do with the new [annoying] security settings. But I still haven't found a fix other than restarting iTunes everytime we want to watch something from our downloads. Fail.

Mountain Lion since I installed on my two machines, iTunes has stopped seeing my NAS, I restarted the services of the NAS, both authorized and unauthorized computers and many other things. All that remains is to re-Lion. My NAS is a D-Link DNS-320 Sharecenter, I've had problems with the upgrade to Lion, and silly me, I'm back to update a Mountain Lion. My PC with iTunes if you see instead.

My bad. Under a previous post, I stated I had lost my home sharing with itunes but have now uncovered my problem: There are two areas on the ATV2 you can sign in with your account settings. One is Home Sharing and the other is under Computer which is the MASTER sign in for your ATV2 account linking it to iTunes. After further exploration, while my wife and I were holidaying, my adult daughter changed the 'computer' sign in to HER Apple account sign in on the ATV2. I kept trying to change it back on Home Sharing when signing in there but obviously that didn't work because the master sign in was hers (computer). Once I logged her out, then signed back in using my Apple account sign in, all is well and working as usual. Sorry for the confusion. iMac27 + Mountain Lion, ATV2, iTune 10.6.3

i'm also having this problem. I have a 3rd Gen Apple TV in my main room and 2 2nd Generation (720p black) ones. Ever since the Mountain Lion update, my hub (imac with all of my movies/music loaded) keeps taking forever to load the sharing library, whereas with lion it was instant. I have a 105 mbps connection and Time Capsule router and had absolutely no problem until i updated all of my computers to mountain lion. Please fix Apple!!!!! It worked so well a few weeks ago!!!!!

What seems to be happening is the iMac doesn't wake up from sleep when the Apple TV sends a request for the iTunes library in HomeSharing. Honestly, it has never worked for me correctly. It's a hit or miss. I have my iTunes library pointed to my iMac; but I store all my media on my NAS. When the iMac isn't asleep, this works great. However, as soon as the iMac goes to sleep, it doesn't want to wake back up. I have ensured that my settings are correct (see attached screenshot). If anyone has any suggestions, that would be awesome. TIA.User uploaded file
