Error of type eDSNoStdMappingAvailable (-14140)

Has anyone seen an error like this:

Error of type eDSNoStdMappingAvailable (-14140) on line 1402 of /SourceCache/ServerManagerUserGeneral/ServerManagerUserGeneral-193.2.5/UserVolu mesPluginView.mm

Anyone have a resolution?

I did get the same problem and solved it !
there is authentification problem. you can list the content of active directory but not able to change it. two things to check ! Kerberos authentification delegation for your server into AD machine control. You need to Configure Kerberos into Open Directory control. This way, Active directory will thrust Open directory.
Be sure to authentificate in worgroup manager with an Domain Admin user or an suffisant credentials to modifying user and group policies.

There should be it.

OK, I think we are getting somewhere. I have configured AD through Directory Access on the xServer with the following mappings UID = uniqueID, user GID = primaryGroupID, Group GID = gidNumber.

Also, in Workgroup Manager I have located the administrator account and enabled "administer this directory domain" allowing administration of all users and groups.

After completing this I logged out of WM, then back in and the "administer this directory domain" is unchecked. I have repeated the above several times, but am unable to get the adminstrater to "stick" nor does it solve my issue of administering new users and groups through Workgroup Manager.

It may be helpful to know that our xServer's role in Server Admin is set to "Connected to Directory System" and the Overview shows:
Open Directory: Connected to a Directory System
Lookup Server: Running
NetInfo Server: Local only
LDAP Server: Stopped
Password Server: Stopped
Kerberos: Stopped

I have later discovered that with the above modifications compromised user access to shares. I have reversed the modifications and restored file service to users.
