Setting up time capsule with iPad

Hi,

I'm new to the apple world. I bought an iPad and a time capsule. I use the time capsule for my Internet and would also like rouse it for back up storage. Is there anything else I have to get in order to set up the time capsule. I do have a power Mac g4 2007 model. Would I have to hook that up to the time capsule via ethernet cable in order to get it set up?
