Macbook Air becomes extremely hot when installing apps in Mac App Store and deleting files.

My Macbook Air (Mid-2011, 13-inch) becomes extremely hot when installing apps from the App Store or when deleting files, up to the point in which I have to shut it down to cool it (Restart does not work). This happened with both OSX Lion and Mountain Lion (recently upgraded). What Should I do?
