Jul 26, 2012 11:04 PM in response to Kappyby endokendo88,some of the ML reviews state that AirPlay does not work on 2010 Macs. I read 1 or 2 reviews where AirPlay does not work on late 2011 MBPs. 1) I am curious if anyone with a late 2011 MBP has installed ML and 2) did AirPlay either work?

Jul 26, 2012 11:08 PM in response to endokendo88by Kappy,AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer).

Mac OS XAirplay is supposed to work on early and late 2011 Macs. I don't have any AIrPlay devices so I can't confirm that. Maybe this msg will get bumped and someone else will answer. You may also want to check on the Mountain Lion forum.

Jul 27, 2012 3:39 AM in response to Bimmer 7 Seriesby seanmcsharry,I have the same issue, I see the same screen as you guys AND I have an Apple TV (3rd gen) on the same network, within spitting distance and my late 2011 MBP doesn't detect the Apple TV, even though my iPad does detect it and use it fine for mirroring. My MBP shows the Airplay icon in the top bar. What's the deal? This was the reason I bought a new Apple TV! Has anyone else had this problem with the 'apparently' supported hardware and found a solution or a response from Apple?

Aug 4, 2012 9:33 AM in response to endokendo88by Savil,Same here. I purchased my Macbook Pro last November and everytime i connect to my third gen apple tv using airplay, it works for a while and then automaticaly disconnects and goes back to the home screen. Hopefully Apple releases an update to mountain lion or the Apple TV. I was disappointed because this was the main reason why I updated to Mountain lion.

Aug 5, 2012 1:00 AM in response to endokendo88by endokendo88,AirPlay mirroring now works for my early 2011 MBP (I previously thought I had the late 2011 MBP). After ML install, I tried AirPlay mirrorring and it did not work. I got "Error 20403". I shut down the Apple TV (3rd generation), unplugged it, waited a few minutes, plugged i back in, and waited for reboot. In the meanwhile, I shut down the MBP and followed the same above procedure. Now AirPlay mirroring works, pretty sweet feature!
