Q: Power Nap: Apps need to be opened?

Hi,

I know that Mail needs to be opened to receive mails while in Power Nap. Same thing as while my mac is awake.

But what about all the other Apps?

And in general: Do I need to leave the App Store open to receive automatic system updates?

It depends. To update, you don't have to open Software Update because it downloads and install without opening the application

I'm not convinced it does software updates. It says it does: email, calendar and other iCloud updates.
I've seen no sign of software updates being applied and I've been running this "awhile".

But it doesn't say if the Apps need to be opened all the time. That's what this threas is about. Any former Beta-testers here?
