Anyone noticing flickering while playing back HD video files on Quicktime 10.2?
The two files I tested are H264 at 1280x800.
I've also tested both files in VLC and the flickering goes away.

Yes! Here too! On all video resolutions and formats.
I have the same issue. H.264, Linear PCM Videos (mov) from a Canon DSLR are rendered with frequent flickers, as though one of the frames or a small sequence of frames are black, or of significantly lower exposure. Occurs whether using Quicktime Version 10.2 (603.6). I also tested in VLC; the video plays without flickering.

I am also on a quad Xeon.
Just added Mountain Lion 10.8.5 with Quicktime 10.2 included.
Have same flicker issue as the above people.
Flicker was not an issue when running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with Quicktime 10.0 associated.
