I did a clean install of Mountain Lion.

I have one account for AppleId ( AppleID @mac but email @mac and @me)

So far, I can't get my Buddy List of my iCloud/AppleID/ Account. I can get Bonjour, or other account buddy list but not iCloud one

I tried to uncheck the preference "Show all my account in one list" like it way said on other discussion, no luck.

the first time after install, after login, the iCloud setting window appear, I dont remember it I use @me or @mac as AppleId but under Message it was @me.com

I tried to add @mac in the 'you can be reach at" pref section, no change

could not find a way to logout and login into another account.

Delete all ichat and message pref, in library, still log into the same account.

I erase my account on my computer (not in Message) and create a new one

at login, in iCloud setting I use @mac.com, in Message it show a @mac.com But same thing no buddy list

I add a @me as an  AIM account and now I have the buddy list

but I want to use iCloud to have all ISO device in sync.

any idea would be appreciated

    hi,

To  start Messages it will normally ask for an Apple ID before it will allow you to get anywhere else.

Once you are past that bit you should be able to Access the Preferences > Accounts

This should be pre-filled with the "new" iMessage "Account" at the top and your older iChat type Buddy list IDs and Screen Names below.

As you say the item in the General section of the Preferences that gathers All accounts (iChat types) into one list is On by default.

There is one more step to take to make these Buddy List appear on the Desktop.

Go to the Window Menu and use the items (or the keystrokes listed) to make the Buddy lists appear.

(the new iMessage "Account" does not have a Buddy list)

In the iMessage section in Messages beta it seemed you had to ad a Second ID before you could remove the first.

    ImessaGES ACCOUNT
    Uploaded with Skitch!

I must admit it does now seem to be  a little more difficult but I also know the servers are very busy with everyone trying to get set up.

I can Add a second,  I can identify this as the Caller ID but what I can't do is change it at the moment.

    Hi,

If you have other accounts apart form the iMessage one you can make then appear as the gathered Buddy list with CMD and 1 Keys together.

If you use the option in the General Section to Unlink all the Buddy lists then the Window Menu will show More CMD + number options (depending on how many "Accounts" you have logged in).

The telling point here might be how many are logged in.

    Example

    Window Menu
    Uploaded with Skitch!

This os not all the accounts I could have Logged in

    HI,

My Apple ID is my iMessages ID

(I could change it to the @me.com iCloud part it is linked to as that also works as a Valid AIM Name)

As you say you can also use it in  FaceTime

    Thanks for the Points.

I have an older AIM name that most people know or can find out fairly easily but I have several names that are valid with AIM that are also Apple IDs that I also use  with some Buddies for privacy.

(not to mention several Jabber based names as well)

    Hi,

Here at Apple Discussion typing in all capitals is regarding as shouting.

I am not sure why you are shouting at someone who posted the question over a year ago.
