Any fixes for (NSURLErrorDomain error - 1011.) on iPad?

After months of problem-free access, my ability to access content on one favorite streaming 'members only' site became impossible to view using the site's dedicated app on my iPad. The app opens problem-free, but when I attempt to view any of its streaming video an error window pops up which reads -

"Error: The operation couldn't be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error - 1011.)".

Streaming content is also impossible to view on my iMac. After accessing the site I am unable to login. A blank white page appears with "Service Unavailable" in tiny text in the upper left corner.

The only clue as to the problem may be that while I cannot access the content on my desktop or on my iPad via WiFi (coming from my desktop), I CAN view the streaming content on my iPad when I switch off of WiFi and rely on cellular data only.

I've deleted and reinstalled the app on my iPad. On my iMac, I've cleared Firefox's cache and cookies to no avail. The same problem exists when attempting to view the site's content when using Chrome.

Hi JimCL, Just wanted you to know that I too am having the EXACT same problem you are having. I only have the iPad and it is only the WiFi version so I don't have a way of trying the cellular net as you have done. This started within the last couple of days. May we compare geography? I am located in the Atlanta area. Are you nearby or do you think the geography isn't an issue? Here are my stats:

iPad - first generation 16GB - Wifi only, Model MB292LL

iOS Version 5.1.1 (9B206)

Error when trying to access live stream or On Demand:

Error:
The operation couldn't be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error - 1011.)

Anyone else out there having the same???

UPDATE and Possible Fix:

JimCL: I found the following post from 2008:

Re: The error was: “bad server response” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1011)

Open Safari:Preferences:Security tab: click Show cookies. Search for "yahoo". remove all those cookies. I also removed any "att" ones just to be sure. Then the page works.

I went to my iPad's settings for Safari and cleared the History and Cookies and Data.

My live streaming has returned. Don't know for sure if this was the fix or coincidence.

Please let me know if this works for you.

Thanks, Tom

Thanks Tom!

Just read your solution. I was using Firefox to access the site, but I did what you suggested - removed all of the Yahoo cookies from the Firefox browser. I wished I had attempted to access the site in question BEFORE I removed the cookies. I have to assume the problem hadn't cured itself in the hours since I posted my question. After removing the cookies, I now have access to the streaming content on my desktop that I couldn't access for at least 36 hours! I didn't do anything regarding cookies on my iPad because I suspected the problem was with the WiFi data coming from the desktop. The site's dedicated iPad app now works as it should! THANKS! We'll have to assume (until someone proves otherwise) that you provided the fix, haha!

Jim

BTW - I'm not in the Atlanta area. I'm in New York City.
