Mountain Lion - iCal - Upgrading Calendar Error - "colorString is a required value."

I updated to Mountain Lion yesterday, and to be honest I have had nothing but problems - primarily with my exchange accounts. I am a consultant, so that is kind of a big deal. I am not sure if it's a Microsoft or an Apple issue so I'm not casting any blame, I just need help. I will post my issues with Mail on a different thread. This thread is related to iCal.

When opening iCal it begins to "upgrade" the calendar. About a quarter of the way through I get an error that says "colorString is a required value" and then nothing happens. I close iCal, and when I open it again the same thing happens again.

Here is a scrren shot:

I have deleted the calendar Cache. I am not sure what else to do.

As a follow up to this -

I have completely re-installed ML. I have deleted all pstrings, and I have removed all caches.

I created a new user account on my laptop and calendars opened fine, so it seems to be a problem with updating calendar information.

How can I remove old calendar information? I keep all of my informaiton on the cloud, so I do not need anything that it keeps locally at this time. I can start from scratch.

Any thoughts? I know this string has been viewed several times - but no recommendations yet. Any help is appreciated.

So - as I'm the only one in the world with this problem, I am setting up a new user account and will be migrating all of my information only. As this is obviously an issue with updating old data and not a ML issue then this may be the best answer.

I'm going to keep my genius appointment tomorrow. I'll let you know what I find out in case this happens to anyone else in the future.

One last update to resolve this just in case someone looks at this years from now with the same problem.

I went to the Genius Bar and they showed me that for Calendars I could delete not only the plists and the caches, but also EVERYTHING in the folder: Home>Library>Calendar.... I literally deleted everything in the calendar foler. I reopened iCal and whatever was wrong was gone and rebuilt.
