Error message

Can anyone help? Everytime i try to load a certain url I get the error message "Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d' Type mismatch: 'CDbl' /toolbox/incBrowserVersion.asp, line 129" and i can't get onto the site. Any clues?

POwerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.5)

Margot, what is the certain URL? By the sound of it it might be a site that is only Windows accessible.

The url is my online course which I've been able to access http://online.illawarra.tafensw.edu.au/toolbox/desktop/ Suddenly one day it came up with the error message.

Safari for some reason does not work with this site but Firefox works.

Hi Margot,

Judging by the error message, the website doesn't work with Safari (rather than Safari not being able to view it).

They are doing some kind of browser version check (/toolbox/incBrowserVersion.asp) and the code they are using is crashing.

If they have a feedback/tech support email address send them a notice.

Until then, as Quang correctly says, you'll need to use another browser like Firefox or Camino.
