Issues with Mountain Lion on MacBook Pro with Retina Display

I'm facing issues on my brand new Macbook Pro Retina after upgrading to Mountain Lion.

Safari is acting up since upgrading. The Zooming is often slow, the cursors sometime disappear, some parts of textfields dont refresh properly in safari. Autocorrect is not working properly either in safari. Gestures sometimes are not working as expected. The developer tools are soo buggy, wish they will fix these issues sooner. I'm totally struck. Anyone else facing the same issues ?

I wish i could go back to Lion ! Can any one suggest me on how to downgrade to Lion ? This is my first mac, i dont have a copy of Lion.

I would suggest others not to upgrade to Mountain Lion on Retina Display, until all these issues are fixed.

I, too, am having disappearing cursor issues. I don't wish to downgrade, but it would be nice if this was patched in the next update. If you click the menu bar, the cursor usually comes back, but it's pretty annoying inside of Photoshop.

If you spend a lot of time needing the mouse, I would suggest waiting on Mountain Lion for a little while longer.

I'm having a similar issue with Macbook Pro since updating last week. In particular GMail and its text boxes causing sections of my screen in the Safari browser to be incorrectly refreshing. Also the cursor speed is much slower to react in text boxes. As I type in this page I'm seeing a very slow refresh of the character and sometimes they are not showing at all for half a second, especially when you delete characters.

I Quit Safari for now. Moved to Chrome.

Even though Chrome is not ready for the Retina Display, I have got the beta version which is working pretty good though. Yes i do miss some features from Safari, but i can live without them.

I'm primarly a web app developer who uses developer tools alot, the new developer tools in safari are soo crappy, i should say not usable at all.

Chrome is the savior for now.

I'm having the same problem, basically with SAFARI + GMAIL : when I try to write a new mail, the upper left part of the screen disappears in a square pattern. If I slide the cursor over, it appears again. Usually, this does not happen when I'm using Chrome, so I am beginning to think that the problem is with Safari + Mountain Lion.

I have done a full system reset to no avail.

If anyone has an idea about a solution (yes, I know, use CHROME...) please post a comment.

I am having the same issue on my MacBook Pro 15" w/ Retina Display. I am running OS X 10.8.2 and the cursor disappears a lot - its very frustrating. I have Adobe CS5 installed with all patches and I use Chrome on a regular basis, however the cursor disappears even if I am not using those apps.

I have about had it with this MBP Retina and Mountain Lion - I'm beginging to think MS had something to do with this release! 😉 Apple needs to bring back Quality Control.
