Tascam FW-1884 Output Problem

I have a Tascam FW-1884 control surface set up as follows:

LP vinyl player (Stereo) plugged into analog channel 1

4 track casette player plugged into analog channel 2

Edirols SC-8820D SoundCanvas plugged into analog channel 3

Using the Firewire connection to the computer, I can record successfully from any or all of the analog souces.

However, no matter what recording software I use only the left channel is recorded (except for the SC-8820 which only comes through only on the right channel).

I have speakers plugged into the Monitor plugs of the 1884 as well as a set of headphones in the Headphones plug. Listening to those sources is fine. That is, I hear both the left and right channels in the phones and on the speakers.

But no matter what I try, I can't get a stereo recording on the computer.

Your thoughts please.
