mac os x mountain lion finder freeze

Ever since I installed Mountain Lion on my late 2008 Macbook Pro, I've had several episodes where the Finder became unresponsive after doing certain tasks like emptying the trash. Force quitting the Finder or relaunching it results in the Finder and any external drives disappearing from my Desktop, so I am forced to power down my Macbook Pro then restarting. I've tried using Disk Utility to repair permissions, but that hasn't alleviated the problem. Should I try to do a clean install of Mountain Lion then?

Same here. Upgraded to ML and now my late 2011 MBP is stuck on loading screen. It's been 10 minutes and no progress. Anyone knows if Apple doing anything?

I input the command kextstat | grep -v com.apple

My terminal replied:

The system replied empty string. And somtimes I still encounter the freeze problem without knowing which application caused the problem.

First freeze happened when I use Safari browser, and the page was freeze at msn.com.

Other freeze happened on application like MS Words but this application prompt with error and does not affect the whole system unlike the first freeze I encountered.

By the way I am using Macbook Air 13 inch (2011) edition.

It has something to do with the network-environment. It happens less often, if Mail, Firefox, Adium etc. are not running in the background.

Uninstalling Virtualbox and Little Snitch did not change anything. Parallels Desktop 7 is already most current version. I have to trust their statement, PD7 is fully Montain Lion compatible.

Now I am going to remove the entire ruleset for Little Snitch 3 and OS X Firewall to see if there is the trigger.

Test the machine in Safe mode (startup holding Shift key down) where third party drivers are excluded.

Yesterday I was removing and rebuilding the existing RuleSet from LittleSnitch and use MacBook heavly. Sinc ethen I was not experiencing any freezes again. More likely the Issue is resolved on my Mac.

Could it be related to airparrot, after installing this app the issue started ? as i found it's more or less related to machines for which the airplay is not activated by default ?

I would start with uninstalling the eltima app. Then check Air Display site, and lastly update all other third-parties.
