Mountain Lion UI Lag on rMBP !!! (Let's Make this thread serious and hope for a fix)

This is my Boot ROM version and SMC version:

Boot ROM Version: MBP101.00EE.B02

SMC Version (system): 2.3f32

I discovered that after installing Autocad and opening it the lag disappeard...

Seriously, don't post the same stuff over and over again........ Read back PRETTY PLEASE.

The issues is not related to any version number, it's on every rMBP, it's just not everyone sees it.

What more interesting is whether the new revision with the speed bumps and new internal hardware resolved

the issues?

I wonder how you can be 100% sure it concerns 100% of the rMBP...

Also it's that kind of repetitive discussion that can help sometimes so let the people express themselves and try to find a solution.

Acoording to 9toMac is the NEW RMBP 15" (early 2013, released about a week ago) equipped with new logic board, SSD drive and the new Intel processors (which include faster graphics). Hah, this *****. If this was the solution for the graphic-bugs in 2012-model, I'll soon give up this.

I hope someone with the early 2013-model will give us some reports. "Hopefully" the lag is still there in the new model, and we'll just have to wait for the update.

If our 2012 rMBP's are proven defective, and the 2013 models are proven fix, then what are the chances of Apple issuing a recall on the 2012 models??

If they have updated the internals of the current rMBP I want them to swap the old ones (2012) with new ones!

It makes me kind of ****** that they don't recall a faulty product like any other company...!!!

Chances are the same as the chances of we collecting signs and filing a complaint 🙂 , which I really doubt it's going to be necessary since I've been contacted again by apple to help fix with data , I'm pretty sure they are very aware of the situation, but remember, recalling this product will be not only a hit financially which they wont' really feel but more than that , apple releasing a faulty product? now that's some news...

I was at an Apple Store on the weekend and they were still on the 2.3 ghz models. I'll have to pay regular visits and get my hands in a 2013 updated version and see if the lag still exists. If it doesn't then you bet there's going to be a lot of noise on this thread.

Did you ask for the new model?

The display models here in LA at The Grove location were still for the older models when I went in last week, but they had stock of the new models in the back.

I purchased a 2.6GHz 13".

I'm not just going to ask for a new model. I'm going to demand to have my current rMBP to be CHANGED to the current new one! C'mon, a $3K laptop that doesn't perform as good as a MB Air??? Give me a break!!!

First of all, the UI lag or better stated as low fps with the HD4000 on your desktop is not a defect. It's just

an unpowered video card which can't handle the performance. Good luck with siging a stupid petition, or whatever.

Secondly; the performance of the rMBP in the mac stores will always be good since they used a rMBP tweaked OS X version.

Third; live with i, or return it while you can or hope it gets a little bit better in 10.8.3.

Fourth; Haswell will probably not entirely solve it either.

Fifth; use your nVidia when not using your battery.

Like I said, to those of you that maybe didn't see my post a couple of pages back, Apple contacted me and many other users to try to gather data and see if they can fix this via software, firmware or replacing the unit, I just woke up like an hour ago to find another email from them to help them gather more data, so like I said , at least they are looking into this, switching over to a new rMBP that might have the same issues isn't going to do any good , so we need someone with the new one to test it out ...
