Mountain Lion UI Lag on rMBP !!! (Let's Make this thread serious and hope for a fix)

I personally think the UI lagging bug is a serious issue on rMBP because this machine cost $2000 and up and it lags on UI features such as Mission Control and Space Switching while classic Macbook pros don't. I do understand that the retina display models carries a high resolution display, but I think the quad core CPU should have the ability to handle it (please correct me if I am wrong)

I am hoping and asking anyone experiencing the issue to follow up with this thread and post your concerns. Let's hope for a fix soon and we can really enjoy the beauty a Retina Macbook Pro brings to us.

Actually, I should elaborate a bit more in regards to Nvidia Cuda 5.0.59...usually when I wake my laptop from sleep (opening the clamshell display) the screen flickers blue and black for about 5 seconds before any image appears. After installing Cuda my screen comes on instantly. Plus I left the laptop unplugged all night and it's still at 100% battery charge. Safari, iPhoto and memory intensive apps seem a lot smoother especially when resizing the window itself. Are we finally onto something here?

It is obvious that somebody from apple reads our posts...because they are deleting posts they do not like:(

If they dare to delete those posts, why dont they dare to give us a statement on this insane lag, EVERBODY has got on a retina Macbook? Comon Apple do somthing, support the customers, give us at least some feedback or advice what to do whit this 3000$ faulty machine???

I couldn't agree with you more, since Apple has deleted more than a couple of dozen of MY messages, when all I'm trying to do is give us Retina MacBook users some sense of hope.
And, just to report, while you're able to read this, my MacBook Pro Retina has been doing quite nicely with the latest CUDA and "other stuff". I would say 50% less lag, 90% quicker restart and shutdown times and no more black/blue screens of death at startup and a lot less lego blocks. Once Apple release their "other stuff" you'll know what I mean.

I've "only" waited since december for this, but I bought this 15" to replace a iMac and run a specific software in fullscreen. That haven't been possible at all without severe annoying lagging, so I get mine rMBP replaced with a non-rMBP hi-res now.

That means even lower resolution and that really blows. Specially since some of you have such improvement with the new drivers now.

For those who are frustrated with web scrolling: start using Webkit browser. Scrolling is super smooth (youtube, facebook etc). Viewing PDF's is still laggy though, but Webkit proves that the GPU can handle the hi-res. My impression about this machine has improved since I started using Webkit.

If you are frustrated with laggy apps (iTunes, Mail, Chrome), the only way is to open them in low resolution.
