Oct 1, 2012 7:41 AM in response to dscielby Lex1179,I have samsung and I have lag.
@Erno12
Open terminal and type:
ioreg -lw0 | grep \"EDID\" | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6
If your display code begins with "LP," it's an LG display, if begins with "LS" it's a samsung

Oct 1, 2012 7:42 AM in response to noiseordinanceby Erno12,I now Google! I tried this site
http://osxdaily.com/2010/07/28/find-out-what-model-lcd-panel-in-your-imac-macboo k-macbookpro/
It just came up that I have a Color LCD (which I now), but no model number. Perhaps you do have a better idea (obviously you have already done it sometimes)?

Oct 1, 2012 7:50 AM in response to Lex1179by Erno12,Thanks! This worked better for some reason (I am not used to terminal)! It starts with LSN, which means I have a Samsung display. I found the 10.8.2 update made the lag on my screen better initally, but after a while it was much of the same. although not so bad as many others experience.

Oct 1, 2012 11:56 AM in response to poidetby togaen,I am also only seeing "Color LCD"; no further identifying info. But this afternoon, strangely, all the lag disappeared... UI is now silky smooth. I have no idea what happened; I've not updated or installed anything. Anyone else experience this?

Oct 1, 2012 12:35 PM in response to togaenby J Critchley,Is that even in apps like mail? The lag is very consistent in that for me.

Oct 7, 2012 1:59 AM in response to dscielby quentin DEWEZ,Dear All,
I have the same problem since yesterday night... Diablo 3 has always run very smoothly in 1920 and now it's just laggy, as well as OS X interface...
I've reset SMC and PRam, force the nVidia, installed nVidia drivers update, disk utility, etc... nothing!
Nothing has change between 5pm and 10pm yesterday and my computer was running perfcectly since I received it 2 months ago...
Tomorrow I'll call the Apple Care and hope for the best.
