Q: Mountain Lion UI Lag on rMBP !!! (Let's Make this thread serious and hope for a fix)

I got an email saying they tried to call me. The email headers also seemed legit. What did they say?

Would also like to say I'm experiencing less issues after resetting the SMC.    

Well They called me and told me they were doing analysis on the problem we retina owners faces, and that they need me to send them a system diognosis files (via email) using the ctrl alt option shift +.  method (while in higher def mode)+ another tool (Capture_Data_9-1.1.1.dmg) which capture the system's data which I needed to run.

both (2 files total) were emailed to him and was told he'll pass it on to the rMBP Engineers.

Seems fishy (?? I never heard of Apple calling individual owners), but the email addresses and headers were legit (online tools to verify), and the phone number +1 (916) 399-7992 seems from apple (at least what google returns: 1 search result to this apple forums about the same number)

It means they're actually doing something.

I still have the same issues with this retina screen : pictures on an auto ad for example; they blink..., overall dispaly is rarely fluid, when I switch from Mail (white background) to iPhoto (Grey background) then I can still see my Mail program for seconds...

Let's hope they'll fix this for good but it might also be hardware... which is also fixable but cost more.

Last news, seems Apple made new macbook pro retina and increae only CPU  for 100 Mhz ? and what is it ? Come on, Apple, we are all waiting update from you, to fix current huge issue or call back you laptops and give back us our money.

I did that too a month ago or so. Nothing to do but wait ...

I called Apple support again. He sent this link http://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-cuda-5.0.36-driver.html after sharing my screen with him show the lags in notes, mail and so on ...

So far it actually works!

No it don't!

Changed the resolution to Best and back to Highest and now the lag is back!

I have even CUDA Driver Version: 5.0.37 and it does not help
