safari rendering issues

I have been getting some strange rendering issues since upgrading to OSX Mountain Lion/Safari 6. They seem to be fairly random, and happen accross multiple sites, even "big sites" like YouTube. I will get "artifacts" left behind, and I'm even getting them now as I'm typing this message with the text. Because is seems to be so "random" I have no idea what's causing it, but, it's very distracting and obnoxious when the artifacts interfere with navigation. Is anyone else experiencing these problems?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6), iPod Touch 32GB (4th Gen)

Yeah all you can do for now is reset Safari and it will fix it temporary until it decides to do it all over again. SMH

These are unmoderated user forums so sort of by definition apple does not pay attention. To report problems apple has bugreporter.apple.com.

Has anyone here opened a bug report for the issue?

Yes. I have back in mid-2012.

This is apparently a known problem, but what I can't get out of Apple (and I've tried and tried over eight months) is whether or not this is really a software or hardware defect. I have an iMac at home that does not exhibit the issue.

I cannot tell you how much time I've wasted on this problem and how many times I've gone around and around with Apple Support. They're nice enough, but it's not resolving my issue and it's very aggravating.

I keep hoping that Apple will do the right thing. This is my first true MacBook ($2K+), and I like the hardware, but this known problem has just gone on way too long.

Trust me, I think I've been patient and given them ample time to resolve this issue. But today, after this last go around of "you need to keep using the workaround until we find a fix" that cuts my battery life in half, I'm pretty fed up.

Update to the 10.8.3 builds, they have fixed the Safari rendering issues for me with Safari 6.0.3.

The first few days the update helped but then all went back to gibberish again... So no, 10.8.3 did not solve this issue, at least not for everybody...

I noticed it's a cumulative problem. It starts off fine, but then degenerates over time until a restart. (...or switching off Graphics Switching Mode)

I have two mid 2010 MBPs. A 13" Core Duo and a 15" i5. Both running ML. The i5 is the one with the issue while the other one never displayed this behavior in Safari.

I forgot to mention. I never had this issue until ML so it's definitely software related. Maybe somewhat tied into what CPU you are running? No idea.

It's definitely related to graphics card switching on ML. Makes sense that it wouldn't happen on the 13", because that doesn't have a discreet graphics card (I think).

I agree with the issue being graphics related. And I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with the integrated Intel HD 4000 card :/ Although if I recall correctly, I think the Intel HD 4000 in the 13" rMBP has 768 MB ram vs the Air's 512 MB.
