Q: safari rendering issues

I have been getting some strange rendering issues since upgrading to OSX Mountain Lion/Safari 6. They seem to be fairly random, and happen accross multiple sites, even "big sites" like YouTube. I will get "artifacts" left behind, and I'm even getting them now as I'm typing this message with the text. Because is seems to be so "random" I have no idea what's causing it, but, it's very distracting and obnoxious when the artifacts interfere with navigation. Is anyone else experiencing these problems?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6), iPod Touch 32GB (4th Gen)

As the owner of an iPhone 4S, an iPad, a retina MBP I am really trying to use Safari but I keep running into issues.  I'm not sure what the base issue reported was in this thread but for me Safari simply doesn't always render ANY page correctly.  It kind of depends upon what was done before.  IE a fresh clean run of Safari will sometimes render a page just fine.  Then later the same page just stops working right.

I do some web development and I'm always flipping between code and browser and I've have seen Safari do some very strange stuff.  At this point I'm on Chrome and FireFox but it is frustrating that Safari isn't working.

As an iOS developer I've also seen Safari refuse to load the developer portal page.  In fact one time when submitting an App to the iOS store I tried for an hour to get Safari to load the page and let me log in.  I finally gave up and used Chrome which I thought was hilarious to successfully access the Apple portal.

    Kinda ***!

I don't see the problem if I only run Safari in Fitted mode and not in Maximized or Fullscreen mode. That's not a solution, since I always use Maximized myself.

I'm on a mid 2010 17" MBP. So it appears it's nothing to do with the model, just safari being bollocks at rendering. Between this, my iPhone 5's cellular connection problems, and the new to SL lag in being about to type my password after wake up I'm currently not very impressed with Apple. :(

Also still having this issue on 2011 MBP, 10.8.2, Safari 6.0.2. Apple really needs to fix it.

I had a Late 2011 MBP 15" with OSX 10.8.2 and Safari 6.0.2, and I just upgraded to a Retina 15" MBP with 10.8.2 and Safari 6.0.2 as well.

I've been having the same problems as everyone else mentioned. It's annoying enough that I've moved to Chrome for now, which is a bummer because I really prefer Safari.

I'm surpried Apple doesn't see this as a larger issue?

I have an early MBP 15" with ML and latest Safari (6.02), and I have the same problem. Cursor jumping backwards while typing and text disappearing, and also one half of a box with text sitting on top of another text. Very frustrating. The feeling of operating on internet has regressed 10 years with this ****. Do not know exactly when it started, but I believe I did not have that problem some months ago.

Is it apple or is it a code/speed questions on particular sites? When typing this the problem has not occured once for example.

I have a 2011 MBP with PLENTY of resources to run the d*&^ browser (running the latest v6.0.2). It's frustrating enough and gone on long enough to need to vent here. Apple; keep with the mission guys..."do a few things, but do them wayyyy better than anybody else". This problem should not have ever, ever existed in the first place. Get back on the ball.

I'll add my name to the list of people experiencing rendering issues in Safari 6.0.2 with Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on a late 2011 15" i7 MPB. The graphics glitches appear to affect sites randomly, and are especially annoying when trying to enter text in a webform. I've found that zooming and and zooming out again using pinch to zoom usually fixes the immediate rendering issue, but I have found no solution to preventing it from reoccuring. For me the issue has happened since installing Mountain Lion. Hope Apple is working on a fix for this, as it is quite annoying and reminds me of the old days of XP, which had all kinds of UI rendering problems...
