Why doesn't Mountain Lion give you the choice of different snooze time?

I was wondering why Apple had taken the ability to choose different snooze time when the allert poped up. Before you had the choice between 5 min, 30 min ect. Now it's set to 15 min and you can't change it unless you go into the calenda app and change the time on it manualy. It would be nice if Apple would reconsider puting a drop down menu if you press the snooze button for more than 2 seconds that would let you choose your snooze time.

Thanks for hearing me

I agree with you completely. I used the drop down snooze feature at lot in previous OS versions of iCal but it does seem to be missing in Mountain Lion.

I find that one calendar for events and reminders is most efficient. Reducing the features of iCal and adding a new app, Reminders, doesn't help

Sorry to say it but I feel it is part of the process of dumbing down useful features and adding more bling.

My life also runs on alerts, this is a major issue for me. It's seems like an odd thing for Apple to do. It's obvious multiple snooze options is useful, that's why they had it in all their other versions. Could the removal of this feature have anything to do with iCloud? Maybe they can't handle multiple snooze durations across all devices? If this is the case I would prefer not to use iCloud and have my snooze options back.

Thanks for feedback link Meg, I've left some for them.

Put Snooze back the way it was! Snooze was an integral part of my work flow. The old Snooze always irked because it had the limited snooze options availble--5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 1 day, 1 week. I always wondered why you couldn't set it to snooze for say 4 hours, or 10 days. But compared to a set 15 minutes? I'll take the old way any day.

This is a major issue and a big blunder by Apple.
