Sound stuttering after Mountain Lion install

So all in all the engeneers cannot reproduce the issue, otherwise they wouldn"t give some of us beta-patches.

...seems to be hard trying to solve a problem if you don't know why and when the problem occurs.

Think I can knock processor temperatures off the list of possible causes. Started my iMac, imported a set of photos from a memory card and it began stuttering within 5 minutes of the computer being turned. No way was that enough time for termpertaure to have any affect, surely?

There are reports all over the net about lag / stuttering / freezing on Mountain Lion.

guys , it's an issue the stuttering crackle popping playback audio on my 3 macs affecting me from 1 year...i use my mac for making music , for me it's much important a stable core audio, becouse stutter in all audio program playback start or stop this or load plug-in in playback in logic , live , cubase it's really frustrating....hope apple fixing very soon ..it's 1 year i send bug report in apple...😠

My iMac starts...opens eyeTV...30 seconds of playing radio...*first stutter*

But what I noticed: the 10.8.2 update made my iMac cooler, though...

So I have to use a grill instead of my iMac for the next barbecue 😀

This is happening to me even with a virgin install on an empty system. My video is not an issue, only sound.

Do you know if all programs use these "Lego-Bricks"? Or only QuickTime? I'm asking because the hole system is affected by "stuttering"

This (apparently) fixes quicktime, but the issue isn't just with quicktime. My issue is with Netflix, so changing some files for quicktime isn't going to solve my problem. It's obviously a bigger issue than a few files in quicktime, and I hope Apple are treating it as such.

Maybe Apple wants to buy your iMac for testing fixes?

My iMac stutters randomly. No matter what I do (even if I do nothing)…sound stutters 😟

I advice all of you to give up on this, this is happening for years. Once one buys a Mac, it'll eventually happen to such a person. Such a trap!

Start thinking seriously about this or selling your Macs, If I had a backup disk I would be doing this right now, but I'll be doing it anyway, I'll take some thumb drives I have, do some essential backups and do it.

Going to Linux or Windows isnt the solution I need, Not really a helpful answer.

Personally, I have never had this problem before ML, and I have been using Mac on various hardware and OS versions for many a year.
