When I attempt to open the mp3 file I receive an icon circle with a slash mark in middle of an arrow. I also attempted to copy the file but was unable to paste it on the desktop or in Twisted Wave audio editor. Is quick look on my iPad or do I have to download an app to make this happen?

Did you try to tap and hold down on the open file in the email to get the Open In option to pop up? Not copy and paste - try Open In. You should be able to find Twisted Wave in the Open In options if it is supported.
According to the first two reviews that I read here, the reviewers claim that C&P does not work.

I followed your directions and when I clicked on OPEN no options appeared, it just went to the same icon slash across an arrow. I also checked out the attached link and it appears Twisted wave has not resolved the issue in their development.
Is there another app that might be downloaded that would appear in the OPEN option if loaded on the iPad?

I think it's not a MP3, it' a QuickTime file.
Try installing Buzz player App and try opening again; sorry OPlayer doesn't open QuickTime.

The file opened in Aol on my iPhone. I then sent it to my gmail account and it opened as a quick time file. Thank you. have a great day.
