I am setting up a new ipod touch for my child.

I dont know if I am supposed to set up there own apple id or not. I want them to have there own cloud or a sep section of mine so I can back theirs up use location services etc. But ultimately I would also like to load a set amount of money in their accts to purchase music but have it pasword protected so they need to have my permission or password to buy apps and music. Please share your thoughts about how to do this.

- I would set them up with their own ID.

- You can then load their account with gift cards; See:

iTunes Gift Options

- Do not tell them the password if you do not want to. Just remember that net you purchase something and enter the password, they can make other purchases within a 10 minute window without have to reenter the password.

- You can also prevent in-app purchases. See:

iOS: Understanding Restrictions
