Restart automatically if the computer freezes not in my energy prefs

My ML install offers Put Hard Disks to Sleep, Wake for Network Access, Allow Power Button to put Computer to Sleep, and Start up automatically after power failure. I do not have Restart automatically if the computer freezes as an option. Any idea why? I do have a UPS attached (UPS RS 1200)
