Q: Game playing?

I play 2 games.  Zoo World and Zoo World 2.  I can get into ZW but not ZW2.  Several people suggested I need an Adobe Flash drive but all I found was for windows.  Does any one have any suggestions

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

The games seem to be web browser driven, there is a update for Flash if it uses that.

    Adobe Flash Player version 11.3.300.268

    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Browser plug-in checker in case others also require a update.

Well I did get the flashplayer but that didn't help.  Went to the mozilla site and tried to upgrade all and succeeded in some but it told me to go to Apple apps and undate the java script.  Software update says I'm good.  Can't get to page with the apps.  Was going to download a couple and I'm told Safari can't connect to that page.  I went on FF tools and was told there all add on's were up to date.  I still can't get into Zoo2

Does the game work in other browsers like Chrome or Firefox?

I don't advise you use Safari anymore becaues your on 10.6.8 and Apple hasn't released a update for us 10.6 users yet.

I guess your going to need to contact the game maker, find out what they use to run the game.

If it's Java, Apple has insituted a automatic time cutoff for Java for security reasons, to turn it back on press command space bar and type "java preferences" and run that to turn on your Java. (if the game doesn't use Java, then don't turn on Java as it's a security nightmare)

Now Javascript usually runs all the time as amny web sites use it, if it's off, look in your browsers preferences to make sure it's on.

Some games use Javascript to run Java, so be aware you'll need both ususally, however I would turn off Java when your not using it.

Apple updates Java and Javascript via Software Update, however Apple has slipped behind it's Iron curtain of the AppStore now for updates for 10.8 users, giving 10.6 users which make up over 50% of it's installed base the cold shoulder in the last few days since 10.8 was released. So things on Apple are a bit messed up far as downloads go.

I've been to the devs and they can get into my zoo and that is why they tell me it is a setting on my MAC.  I tried it on all three browswers and none worked.

I might as well bring up another problem.  I decided I would solve everything by downloading the mountain lion and I don't think I can attach the picture.  No but it does say "Safari can't open the specified address"

Safari can't open"macappstore://itunes.apple.com/us/app/os-x-mountian-lion/id5373865?1s=12&i gn-msr=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.apple.com%2Fosx%2Fbecause Mac OS X doesn't reconize internet addres starting with "macappstore:".

What ever that means.  Since I normally log into Itunes with my husbands log it I ask him if he had downloaded it and he said he wasn't able to either.

Don't do anything else, you need someone there to assist you and fix your machine.

Either a very experienced Mac user or a hired local profesisonal.

Downloading a new OS X upgrade on a funky system is always a recipe for trouble and I don't want you to lose your personal data.

So please, get some local in person assistance.

We are sort of handicapped by this forum method and computers are incredibly complex.

    Good Luck
