You need to update Flash. Download it from the Adobe website.
I have tried that at least 10 times and still can't open said email attachments!
SAME HERE!!!!
Same here!
Try the steps from this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3230
sberman,
Mine is dealing with Flash and this article won't fix it.
Note: This article does not apply to Internet Plug-Ins such as QuickTime, Java and Adobe Flash. It also does not apply to Safari Extensions.
Got anything for Flash?
The latest Flash player is version 11.3.300.268.
You can download it from here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
I've tried that multiple times. Uninstalling it, reinstalling it, installing a previous version, restarting after each, blah blah blah. Nothing's working.
I downloaded Firefox and must admit that so far things seem alot better, so we'll see. Don't know why they bring these new systems out without testing them, or so it seems, it's like buyinjg a car and the salesmen saying , oh you want wheels with that, well thats coming or , that's extra.... Bill G.
Thanks Bill! This SOOO fixes my issue! I liked Firefox when I had my Windows box back in the day and apparently will make the move on my Mac as well. Thanks!
Sooo, turns out I don't like te gestures and all between Firefox and Mac. I had to do some hacks but it still work as I expected it to work and be as smooth. So I kept searching online and found this:
I have a new MacBook Pro and I followed these instructions, downlonading and installing the new Flash plugin. But when I looked in "/Library/Internet Plugins" there was no folder called "Disabled Plugins".
However, I did see two versions of Flash:
_Flash Player.plugin with old date
Flash Player.plugin with todays date
I deleted _Flash Player.plugin and this fixed the problem.
In my case, I went to the location and deleted eveything that said Flash. I then reinstalled the latest Flash plugin and voila! I got my old Safari back! Thank you guys for your help! If this doesn't work for you, I'm not sure what to do. :-(
