Keyboard and touchpad don't work after upgrading to Mountain Lion

I upgraded my December 2011 Macbook Pro to Mountain Lion and I had no errors whatsoever. I turned on my MacBook today, and I the keyboard doesn't work and the touchpad doesn't work. So basically, my screen is stuck at the login screen because I can't use any thing to even turn it off. I tried pressing the power button as well to restart it but that didn't work either. Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks

I got this issue resolved, I called into to Apple Care and they suggested that I hold down shift, control, option and power button for 10 seconds, and then release the buttons. Then I held down the power button to force shut it down which turned it off. After I pressed the power button again, everything started normally and the computer worked just as it did before!
