i am getting same problem, after removing also its showing ok to disconnect, but it seems to be hanged what should i do

I bought new apple nano ipod, when its charging on computer, it displayed the message do not discoonect, but when i removed the ipod it is displaying ok to disconnect for long time still its showing ok to disconnect, it seems ipod hanged , please help me , what i have to do .
