is there a way to get airport express 5.7 to work with airport express 7.6.2?

I'm running OSX 10.7.4 and already have Airport Utility and Airport Utility 5.6 installed.

Thanks!

I'm trying it the other way around. 802.11g is my current home network and is wired to the modem. I want to use the new one (802.11n) for iTunes streaming (my older station has no audio output), but the only way I'm being able to do so is by creating a new network (no internet), and I'd like to have both options within the same connection.

Just went through the article. It made me realize my older station is Airpot Extreme 802.11g (not Express). As I'm trying to change its settings I don't find the option to Extend The Network, I also find that for Radio Mode, it only gives me the following options:

802.11b only

802.11b/g compatible

802.11g only

Is this AExtreme 802.11g so old that I won't get it to communicate with the new AX 802.11n? Or is there anything else I could try to make them work as an extedend network?

Thank You!

Hm. Didn't work. I'm trying to make The new Airport Express 802.11n (2nd Generation) my remote or relay Base Station, but it requires the new version of Airport Utility. This new version doesn't seem to recognize my Extreme Base Station (802.11b/g), which I need as my Main Base Station. In turn my Extreme Base Station requires Airport Ulilty 5.6, which doesn't recognize Airport Express (2nd generation).

Any other ideas?

Thank You!
