how to copy music to an sd card

I am copying tracks on to an SD card, however when the tracks get on the card they have numbers before them. As an example, Blowing in the wind, Bob Dylan. When it copies to the SD card it now reads 1-14 Blowin in the wind. Where did this 1-14 come from and how do I copy and avoid tis number showing up?

Insert the SD card into your computer, and then double-click its icon so it looks like an open folder.

Highlight tracks you want in iTunes, and drag to the SD card. This places a copy of each file onto the SD card, and does change anything in your library.

If you normally run iTunes in full-screen mode, make it smaller so that you can do the drag.

In your iTunes library, look at the "Kind" for the files that will not play. If you do not see a column for Kind, enable it by going to View > View Options.

If the Kind is "AAC audio"or "Purchased AAC," you can convert the file to MP3 by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550

If the Kind is "Protected AAC," the file cannot be converted. Upgrade it to iTunes Plus and then follow the above guide.

perhaps you can help me too with getting music onto an sd card in order to play in my car.

my sd card is usually used in the Kodak camera i inherited.

it currently has two files--DCIM & Misc.

When i try to drag mp3 files to this sd card, it says "cannot be modified."

in Get Info it says the format for this sd card is MS-DOS (FAT16)

under Sharing & Permissions it says "read only"

Format the SD, OS X Extended should do the trick (if youre still looking for a solution after a year :v) if your on Mac OS, go to Disk Utility & select what you want to format, then press erase to begin the "formating" bare in mind that it Will Eliminate Everything On The Disk, I am unsure if there is any way around it.
