What is the best method of transfering media from iPod touch 4g (software: 4.2 and earlier) onto your iMac?

For synced photos you need a program like PhoneView or TouchCopy. They do music too but are paid programs.

With Phoneview.. i can only download 20 files, and then i have to buy the full version for $30.00.
With TouchCopy.. it wouldnt let me open the software because it is only compatible with windows.
