Q: No "save to iCloud" function available on iWork on my iMac.

I updated to Mountain lion 2 days ago. I can upload documents to the icloud from my Macbook Pro, My IPad 2 and my iPhone 4. No Problems. Yet i dont have an icloud save function on my iMac. In the top left hand corner of the pages home screen (which appears when you open pages), where it says, "on my icloud.....on my mac", when i click on both of them it just shows the documents folder on my home folder. I have signed in and out of icloud several times deleting all from my iMac. All software is up to date. Any help please guys. thanks stephen

I'm not sure I fully understand you, exactly what difference do you see between your MacBook Pro and your iMac.

This is the image taken from my macbook pro. My imac just shows document from my documents folder on my iMac. When i try to save a document on my iMac it doesnt give the option to save to icloud, just locally to my Imac. If you need any further info, give me a shout back, cheers. stpehenScreen Shot 2012-07-28 at 22.44.33.png

Thank you for that, I understand you now. For the avoidance of doubt, you do have "documents and data" checked in your iCloud settings on the iMac.

I assume you are running mountain lion on your iMac. Also check the version of pages in your application folder it needs to be version 4.2 in order to show the window that you posted above.

Yeah i have switched of and on the documents and data in the iCloud several times, deleting the content from my mac. I have also sigend out of the icloud several times, deleting all ical, mail, contacts etc from my iMac. Pages has been updated to 4.2 which is why it gives me the option of "icloud" in the top left hand corner, but when you click on the "iCloud" tab there is nothign there, just my documents in my iMac documents folder. Im just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. many thanks for your reply.

So, what you are saying is that on your iMac, see the window as posted above but the iCloud section is empty.

What happens if you drag a document into the iCloud space.

No the IMac icloud and On My Mac contain the same files (the files in my iMac document folder). So when i drag and drop a file it just goes into my iMac documents folder

If I'm understanding you correctly, it sounds as though the application itself has a problem, have you tried trashing the applications plist.

    Hi Winston,

unfortunately the library is no longer visible in Mountain lion. Although i thin kyou can access it by Terminal, which im not comfortable doing. May just dump the application and start from scratch. cheers, stephen

The library can be made visable by holding down the option key while in the Finders Go menu.

    Winston,

I am having Latimer's problem. If I check "documents and data", which was unchecked, will the problem go away? Syncing is occurring seamlessly on my MacBook Air, iPad 2 and iPhone, but not on the iMac.

    Hi Mary,

I still have no fix. I have done everythhing winston suggested including trashing the application's plist, still no joy. I even trashed the whole iWork, re installed redownloaded the updates......still nothing. I have sort of given up. Sorry to say this, but im happier that someone else is having the same problems. I, as weill have no problems on my macbook pro, iPad 2 or iphone 4.  I have checked and unchecked the data and documents box in the icloud system preferences several times, with no joy either. Strangely when i view the "manage" button in the iCloud system prefeneces on my iMac, it shows all the documents there, so why wont they downlaod to my iMac. PLEASE someone help
