Q: Mountain Lion - Airplay not working

I posted a previous email (censored by Apple) mentioning my frustration not to get Airplay working on my Imac after Mountain Lion Installation.

What can be done to get Airplay working even with an Imac older than 2011 ...accepted by Apple as good enough to receive Mountain Lion?

Hope this one will not be censored again!

AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer).

I understand but I will not change my Imac because of AirPlay. Apple is not really fair on that issue. Will go as recommended by you to see AirParrot...by the way if a parrot can do it why an Apple cannot do the same?

I would suppose because AirParrot provides the hardware needed as an external add-on, whereas for Apple it's a new iMac model that's needed.

Although you can gripe about it to your heart's content (just not on the forums) it won't change anything.
