    Hi Williemann,

Not sure if this will help but I was having a similar situation for Aperture as well.  I thought that I would take advantage of Apple Care (worth every penny)  so I called them up.  The hardware guy wasnt all that helpful altough he did try.  He then connected me to the software folks and they walked me through these steps.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805?viewlocale=en_US#

They then sent me a link to the support page where the steps are loacated.

    Hope this helps!

That error message usually is given, when Aperture crashes, when it tries to open your Library. This may have many reasons: Most common reasons are a corrupted image that you imported, missing frameworks in your system after installing third party software, a corrupted aperture library after you force quit Aperture.

The easiest way to narrow down the reason for the problem would be to see a crash log; can you post it please, if the basic trouble shooting measures that javahut pointed to did not solve your problem.

    Regards
