do i need to pay for testing the ipod touch ?

ok im having problems with touch screen on ipod touch is there an easy fix or do i need to pay them for a solution. i have only had this for a couple months now and it hasent been droped or anything so why the sudden problem. by the way it started with the new iOS5.1.1 update could this be the problem?
