Apple account needs credit card in iOS 5?

Hey everybody! I need some help!

My friend had his iPod and he has iOS 4 and he said that when he was reviewing his Apple account, he didn't needed to add a credit card saying that he could've checked "none" in the choices. I recently got an iPod with the latest iOS 5 and a new Apple account, but when I tried to access the iTunes store to get a few apps, I had to review it and so, while filling out the forms, I stumbled on the payment page.

My problem is that I can't avoid the credit card payment, I don't see any "none" as one of the choices. So I'm guessing that a credit card mandatory now, because of the new software? Oh! I don't have a one yet and I won't be able to get one soon... is there any way to "skip" that step? Any help? It'd be much appreciated, thanks! 🙂
