Avid Recording System won't work

Hi there,

I just bought an Avid Recording Studio interface. It came with a disc that has Pro Tools on it. Initially I thought I wouldn't use Pro Tools (Garage instead) but have since realised that I still need to put Pro Tools disc into my Mac before using the device.

Problem is.... I have a 10.4.11 Mac and the System requirements are for a 10.5.8 or greater!!!!!!!

Even when I put the disc in no CD icon is displayed.

Is there a way around my problem?
