How do you update software on iphone 3gs not equipped with software update feature under general settings?

iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.3.3

You will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to upgrade from iOS 4 to iOS 5.

Conncect it to itunes. select the phone under devices, select update.
