I can't sync or use my phone. Help!

Q: The only display I can get on my 3G iphone is the iTunes logo with the plug-in
it's telling you to connect the phone using usb to your computer
and reinstall the firmware of the phone using itunes
thats why it show the usb and the itunes icons
