Imovie sync through iTunes

I am trying to send my videos through iMovie on my iMac desktop to the iPad through iTunes. For some odd reason when I try to upload it on my iPad it says, "No projects available to copy from iTunes." When I look on my itunes account it shows that they are have been downloaded through the apps column in itunes. I have tried connecting my iPad with the wire and have tried wirelessly as well, with no success. Can someone help me please?

Thank you 🙂

Are you using file sharing? With the iPad connected to the Mac, with iTunes running and the iPad selected under devices ...

Click on the apps tab on the right and scroll down to the list of file sharing apps. Click on iMovie. Drag the files that you want to copy to the iPad into the file sharing window. When you launch iMovie on the iPad, the projects should be available in the list to open on the iPad.

I was on the phone with tech support for hours with this one.

I had made a movie with my iPhone, then transferred it into my iPad, but it would not sync with iMovie, even following the directions directly from iMovie app. "no projects available to copy from itunes" <--sound familiar?

Here is what worked:

Open Tunes, drag and drop your movie into your iTunes LIBRARY from your Pictures file or wherever it resides on your computer.

Then in iTunes, in your Movies Library select your movie, then under FILE, choose Create New Version>Create new iPad version. Let that complete, then drag and drop into your ipad.

You will find your movie in the photos section of iMovies.

Have fun making movies.
