Q: Clean install of Snow Leopard from Mountain Lion.
Can anyone help? I want to do a clean install of Snow Leopard as Mountain Lion seems to be a step too far for my computer. I've been instructed to restart with disk in drive, external hard drive plugged in and press C whilst restarting. Done that.. Next been told to erase hard drive in utilities/disk utilities. Had a look at that. So what do I do now? Which option in Security Options? Is there anything else I should know? Thank you.

I usually just erase the partition and make sure it is Mac OSX Journalled or whatever and that GUID Partition Table is selected under uptions. I'm using the utility right now so I can't check what the actual wording is.
Afterwards, close disc utility and you should be right back to your installation page. Most of it's fairly straight forward from there
ETA: guess I typed too slow. I've basically repeated what someone else said.
